The Chinese white dolphin we
saw on 13 April |
This time the HKDCS survey mainly focused on waters off West and Northwest Lantau to collect data of those Chinese white dolphins. Although both sites are the dolphin hotspots, we could only find the dolphins in West Lantau that day. Altogether we spotted eight groups of Chinese white dolphins, one of which was following a hang trawler for feeding, while another was following a pair trawler. Pair trawler has once again proved to be a “Dolphin magnet” as it attracted 16 animals at a time!
