Become a Member
In the past decade, several incidents related to dolphins and whales happened in Hong Kong, receiving wide coverage by the media. It has also aroused the interests of many public members of Hong Kong on the state of Chinese white dolphins and other cetaceans. Have you thought about taking action to get involved in dolphin conservation? Since 2003, our society has been recruiting members, and we hope that you can participate in our efforts towards strengthening dolphin conservation in Hong Kong. Our membership levels are as follows:
- Friend of Dolphin: Aged 18 or above with donations HK$100 or above
- Dolphin Pal: Aged 18 or below with donations HK$50 or above
- Dolphin Elderly: Aged 65 or above with donations HK$50 or above
- Corporate Member: registered corporate with donations HK$10,000 or above
Note: Donations of HK$100 or above will be given receipt for tax deduction purposes.
Member’s Privilege
The welcome package for new and renewed memberships will include:
- HKDCS member card
- new HKDCS dolphin booklet (published annually)
- e-newsletters through emails (published monthly)
- printed newsletters by mail (published annually)
Other member’s privileges: discount to join regular membership gatherings, dolphin research trip (HK$150), discount to purchase HKDCS merchandize, free admission to seminars, access to online member area (to download previous HKDCS educational materials).
How to Apply
To become a HKDCS member, please fill in the application form (click here to download [PDF]) and pay the membership fee via:
- Crossed Cheque made payable to “Hong Kong Dolphin Conservation Society Limited”
- Direct Deposit: HSBC account no. 126-743673-001
Please send your application form together with your crossed cheque or deposit slip to our mailing address: Room 2004, 20/F., Tamson Plaza, 161 Wai Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon. If you pay via direct deposit, you may choose to fax your form and deposit slip to us (fax no: 852-2357-1373). We will send you the membership card and souvenir upon receiving your complete application.
