primary schools are welcomed

With funding from the “Environmental and Conservation Fund” and the “Environmental Campaign Committee”, HKDCS will be holding free “Little Dolphin Parent-Child Workshops” at primary schools from September 2006 to December 2007. The Workshop aims to teach the participating children to make three-dimensional paper-clay dolphins with their parents and to promote marine and dolphin conservation to them.

Follow-up activities besides dolphin workshop

Apart from holding workshops, we hold follow-up activities for schools to let children learn more about dolphin conservation:

Train the volunteering parents for holding workshops on their own
Setting up game booth on Games Day

Exhibition boards on display in schools

We cordially invite the Parent-Teacher Associations of all primary schools in Hong Kong to co-organize this meaningful activity with us. Participating Parrent-Teacher Associations only need help to promote the activity, sign up participants, arrange venues with schools and recruit volunteers to assist in the workshops. Those interested, please contact our committee member, Miss Patty Tse, by email (little_dolphin_ws@yahoo.com.hk) and let us know the name and address of your school and the contact person. We will acknowledge receipt of your mail in two days and contact you concerning the date and details of the activity.

Environmental education to children is a vital part of dolphin conservation work. Your support and participation would help to make this activity a success. Our sponsorship is limited and we will select schools to visit on a first-come-first-served basis.
